YES, and I encourage all my clients to join the waitlist so that I can keep them informed of when a space becomes available, or if there are sufficient numbers, whether I can put on an additional class.

Ideally, I would appreciate it if knowing you are due to be on holiday, you purchase enough credits so that this is not the case. Please do contact me should any issues arise with this matter.

Class passes (packages) are directly linked to you booking a class.   You cannot buy a package without booking a class.  So once, you select a package, head straight over to the schedule of classes and click the classes that you wish to attend.

Class Packages expire 28/56/84 days in respective to 4/8/12 class packages.

In order to be considerate to my neighbours, I would be most grateful if you could park your cars weekday evenings and Saturday mornings on Molyneaux Avenue and walk the rest of the way to my studio. It’s a short walk! Daytime classes, when most neighbours are at work, please feel free to park considerately either in the layby behind my garden or on the ‘main’ estate road.

The Studio address is 20 Lysander Close, Bovingdon, HP3 0RY.

Pilates focuses on cultivating core strength in the body, lengthening the spine, breath, balance, flexibility, coordination, control, stamina, toning, posture and overall health. Yoga aims to unite the body with mind and spirit. Yoga is often considered therapeutic, when compared to Pilates, as it helps people find harmony and release stress. However, from personal experience, I find Pilates can do the exact same.

Pilates is famous for creating long, lean, fit bodies. There are many ways that doing Pilates supports weight loss and a trimmer appearance:

  • Engaging in an exercise program, like Pilates, promotes self-esteem and heightened lifestyle consciousness.
  • Creating lean muscle mass, as Pilates does, is one of the best ways to increase your calorie-burning potential.
  • Pilates tones and shapes the body.
  • One of the best ways to look and feel thinner is to have beautiful posture. Pilates creates a leaner look by emphasising both length and good alignment.
  • Pilates promotes deep and efficient respiration, which is essential for calorie burning and tissue regeneration.

Absolutely not!  Anyone can start Pilates and at any level. Pilates can be modified to meet you in whatever shape or fitness level you are currently at.

The ideal practice of Pilates is 2 to 3 times per week. However, I am conscious and aware that you may need to take into consideration – your time, finances, work and lifestyle commitments.  I would suggest starting with one session per week which is, let’s face it, 100% more than what you are doing now!  Then when you can, add more sessions.  Remember, the more sessions you do, the quicker you’ll see results!

Joseph Pilates stated – “10 sessions – Feel the difference. 20 sessions – See the difference. 30 sessions – Have a new body!”

In next to no time at all you will feel a difference and hopefully even see one. Everyone responds differently but amazing results will happen if you commit to doing Pilates every week!

It depends on what type of surgery. A medical release form will be required from your doctor and then we can work together to begin strengthening and getting you back to your best self.
